Hello! I’m Lakia and this is my portfolio site so I can share my art and creative outlet somewhere more permanent and formal. Creative expression has helped me explore and grow throughout my life and I am so glad I kept with it.
When I am not stuck in the office for my day job, I can be found exploring the hills and towns of the Western PA, Pittsburgh region. This has gone hand in hand with my interest in local and family history and archiving those who came before me. If I’m not holding my Canon 40D, then you will definitely find me hunting for Pokemon cards!
Recently I’ve found myself exploring with collecting and scanning vintage postcards, usually with cute cartoons or flower and nature designs. The ultimate goal with these is to learn about collage, patterns, and textures. Those will be published on this portfolio as well.
Please note: While my Instagram account @parallelmedias does exist, I have been unable to get Facebook (Meta) to provide access. Who knew changing a phone number would be digitally debilitating.
